BQ77915: PRES pin interface

Part Number: BQ77915

I have a question on the BQ77915, 3 – 5 cell LiPo protection and balancer IC. Everything I read in the data sheet states that the “PRES” pin should be raised high

for normal operation or left floating for hibernate mode. And the IC contains an internal weak pull down which I assume keeps the pin low when left  floating.

I want to use an active IO  to pull this pin high or low.

Is there any downside to pulling the “PRES” pin low as opposed to letting it float for hibernate mode?

Thanks
