Hi team,

We are in the process of developing a Power over Ethernet (PoE) application using an IEEE 802.3at supported PD (Powered Device) that needs to deliver a 5V/5A output. We have a couple of queries and would really appreciate any assistance:

Availability of TPS23756 IC: We are considering using the TPS23756 IC for our design. Can anyone confirm if this IC will be available for the next 10 years? If there are concerns about its long-term availability, could you suggest an alternative part that meets IEEE 802.3at standards and supports a 5V/5A output?
Updated BOM and Schematics for TPS23756EVM: We noticed that some components in the BOM for the TPS23756EVM are now obsolete. Could you share the most recent BOM and schematics for this evaluation module?

Hi SUNDARAMOORTHI,

The benefits of TPS23756 is its low 9-V PWM CTL UVLO. It is good for wide input voltage range. For example TPS23756EVM has 12-57V input range. TPS23734 and TPS23731 are the newest 25.5-W PD parts, please see their features below. TPS23731EVM and TPS23734EVM are 5V/5A reference designs.

I do not see supply issue for TPS23756 for 10 years. Please find attached BOM update in 2018BOM TPS23756EVM 2018.xls

Thank you for your response. I'm in need of the latest schematics and BOM for PMP6672, specifically incorporating the TPS23754PWP IC. Additionally, could you confirm the long-term availability of the TPS23754PWP IC for the next 10 years?

I do not see supply issue for TPS23754 for 10 years.

For PMP6672 (unlike the orderable EVM boards) we do not have recent fabrication. So we do not have an updated BOM newer than the one in TI website.
