TPS2116: Three different inputs

Part Number: TPS2116

Hi everyone,

To feed a custom measurement system, I need to manage three different power sources (5V): 2 power inputs from two USB ports (VUSB1 and VUSB2) and one from a wall block PSU (VEXT) keeping in mind that I want to priotorize the last one. If this is not available, VUSB1 is the priority supply source. I plan to use TPS2116 ics for a sake of simplicity.

So I have a question: is it a good idea (or not!) to "cascade" two TPS2116 like above? Have you got an other solution to propose (800 mA max current) ?

Thank you for your answers!

With king regards,

PS: I've tried to simulate this circuit using the provided Spice model by TI in a LTspice environment ... The VIN2 input seems to be never switched to the output as already mentioned in a previous post! Bug into the model? Disappointed
