TPS7A53: Connect external power supply to the LDO power rail

Hi,

I am using TI LDO - TPS7A5301RPSR for my design.

Can you please advise if the component can be damaged in case I set it as Disabled (J313) but I will connect an External Power (J310) to the LDO power rail?

V_IN = 1.5V (stay on)
V_BIAS = 5V (stay on)

Hi Ynon,

As long as you are still operating within the abs max ratings of the LDO, the device will not be damaged. So your external power source on J310 cannot exceed Vin.
