TPS62913: component placement on top and bottom layers ?

My design requires a very small footprint, and to do so I would like to put components of the power supply circuit on top and bottom layer.
Can I place the (shielded) inductor on bottom when it has the same location reference as the TPS62913 / TPS62912 ?

For "power supply circuit on top and bottom", could you share me a layout example so that I can check for you? If I am understanding correct, do you mean that the shielded inductor placed on bottom and other components on top?

Hi Lucia,

this idea would be like this :
TPS62913 on top layer
Inductors and Caps on bottom layer

(component placement and routing is still in progress)

Hi Peter,

A good layout is that each power component is placed and routed to minimize the paths between them. Keeping these loop areas small enables the best operation of the SMPS. It's recommend that no vias should be used to route these components, because vias add significant inductance to the trace.
