LMR33640: Output Voltage is Affected by the Load

Part Number: LMR33640

Hello,

I wanted to test the LMR33640 -3.3V circuit (Inverting Buck-Boost Converter topology) before designing the PCB.

I have used the circuit at page 15 from:

https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snva856b/snva856b.pdf?ts=1715618037917 (changed the feedback resistors to get -3.3V)

I have used a bread board with the parts very close each other.

Without a Load, the output of the circuit is -3.3V . When a Load is added (>10mA), the output voltage drops to -1.1V. I have tried different inductors but got the same result.

What can be wrong? Does the bread board affect the output so much?

Thanks,

Marius Raducanu
