TPSM863257: Are the via´s needed in the not connected SW pad ?

The Datasheet is showing thermal via´s also for the not connected SW pad.

Do we need them as heatpipes ?

Can we remove them ?

Do we need to add extra copper on different layer ?

Hi Lucia ,

I would appriciate it if I could get these , but I wonder if the via´s are actually necessary for thermal reason. I have limited space available and any via I can avoid would help ;) , I also want to avoid causing unnecessary extra EMI.
