Part Number: TPS92630-Q1

Dears,

Pls kindly help to check the schematic as My design doesn't agree with the specifications, thanks.

  • Hi xian peng,

    • From the schematic, the output current is shared by two LED string, in this way, the LED open of one LED string can't be detected, the single-LED-short feature is the same. Do you need open-fault detection or single-LED-short detection?
    • What is the purpose for RTL_FB and RTL_N related logic? this device has FAULT and FAULT_S pins used as the fault indicator; you can use it directly.
    • Since this device is a constant current device, the output current can be adjusted by REF pin. Why do you parallel output channels of two ICs and drive two LED strings in parallel? you can use one IC to drive one LED string, please let me know your consideration.

    BR,

    Hailee.

  • Dears,

Below isse kindly help to double check, thanks

1, TPS92630 can three strings of 450MA current, the voltage is 8.4V-10.2V? Because the input is 9-16V, it needs to step up and down to 10.2V, 450MA can use a single three-lamp series.

2, if only the detection of open circuit, one off, all off, how to connect?

  • Hi Xianpeng,

1, TPS92630 can three strings of 450MA current, the voltage is 8.4V-10.2V? Because the input is 9-16V, it needs to step up and down to 10.2V, 450MA can use a single three-lamp series.

-->Answer: if you mean the output voltage is 8.4V~10.2V, it depends on your LED loads. If the device can handle the heat, you don't need to reduce the input voltage, but if the power is huge, please add a dc-dc in front of the device to lower the input voltage.

2, if only the detection of open circuit, one off, all off, how to connect?

-->Answer: Do you need the fault signal connected to MCU? if not, you can leave the FAULT pin floating according to the below picture.

    Hailee.
