LM5163: Type 3 Ripple network

Hello Team,

We are using LM5163 having 12V input and 2 different output voltages 5V and 10V with 400mA output.. we are changing output voltage by changing feedback resistor and RON via 2 different MOSFET circuit.

while calculating feedback network which could work for both configuration, I am selecting RACA double than the output from formula. As per formula it is ok to have greater or equal value of this RACA but will it impact back ripple voltage if we choose very high value like I chosen double.

    Hello Vaibhav,

    as long as the RACA is > that the above expression, it ok.

    please follow the recommendations in the datasheet for Ra Ca calculations.  Also can use design calculator to double check your final design.
