BQ27Z561-R2: Fuel Gauge Broken

Part Number: BQ27Z561-R2

When the fuel gauge was not working properly, the customer returned the product and said it was broken.

The condition was that the FCC was 5mAh.

It is certainly a defective product.

Even if you reinstall a different battery and charge it again, you will get similar results.

Is there a way to find out if bq27z561-R2 is broken or not?

When stress is applied to which terminal, this phenomenon occurs?

Also, I don't mind guessing, so are there any possible causes of failure?

I'm looking for a solution.

  • Hello,

If the absolute maximum ratings specified in the datasheet were exceeded, then it is likely that the device could have been damaged. Additionally, the device could have been damaged through ESD. Another potential cause is an incorrect configuration for the cells and application that was causing this behavior.

    Regards,

    Jonny.
