TPS65219: Compability of TPS6521903RHB & TPS6521904RHBR with SOC AM6254ATCGGAALW

Hiii TI expert,

We have checked that both PMIC part TPS6521903RHB &  TPS6521904RHBR can powered up SOC but there is difference is VDD_CORE voltage is which 0.75V & 0.85V respectively for this two PMIC. SO can you please confirm below points,

We have considered SOC part [MPN:- AM6254ATCGGAALW] in our design.

1. what is difference in operation or performance of SOC [AM6254ATCGGAALW] if we design power supply based on PMIC TPS6521903RHB & TPS6521904RHBR. Please explain as per SOC operation/performance point of view

2. We have used the PMIC Part (TPS6521903RHB) in our design so please check and confirm that Processor/SOC (AM6254ATCGGAALW) & PMIC (TPS6521903RHB) combination will work fine or is there any challenge?

Please help to confirm on above two points ASAP.  Thanks in advance

  • Thank You for your patience as we return from the US holiday. The VDD_CORE voltage selection will depend on the selected operating performance point of the AM62x processor and any system level requirements for the power consumption. The table below (from the AM62x datasheet) shows the VDD_CORE voltage levels that are supported for each speed grade.
