TPS25981: QOD Feature & Overtemperature protection threshold

UV event will pull the V_en to below the threshold so that is expected. Can they share some waveforms. It will be helpful.

The recommended operating condition is max 125C. Due to any fault event, if the junction temperature rises, the device is designed in such a way that it will break the operation to prevent any reliability damage. This is done by keeping a threshold at 154C. You can also calculate the FIT rate by using this based on your application. Calculating FIT for a Mission Profile.

Thank you for your response. We are working with our customer to collect waveform/data. Could you double check to see if OV/OC event trigger the QOD in theory as well with our TPS25981?

Hi Jexy,

There is no other way in which QOD will trigger other than UV event. Please ask customer for waveforms.
