Dear Sir.

I want to make a boost converter for low-orbit satellites.

Conditions

1. Input : 30V

2. Output : 150V / 100mA

Can I use this device for it?

Any other device sugestions for it?

If possible, can you provide an example of a schematic?

Hey Jong-sik,

You can use that device for a boost converter.
We have other devices that may be used, but that would be the easiest.

I am unable to provide a schematic with that device.

I know the other devices are easy to use.

But I can't find other devices for space.

Can you suggest other devices for space use?

This device's max input voltage is 30V(recommended 25V).

So I'll use a "Rstartup" resistor for vcc pin.

How can I calculate a value of "Rstartup"?

Hey Jong-sik,

My wording was a bit vague.
I meant to say the UC1843B-SP would be the easiest option.

You should not need a start-up resistor in your design as you dont have an AUX winding in a boost converter.
That resistor will be a current limiting resistor.
I would also suggest adding a zener diode to limit the voltage to the device, as the VIN of the device is used for the output voltage.
