BQ35100EVM-795: BQ35100EVM where are the jumper voltage settings specified?

Part Number: BQ35100EVM-795

Tool/software:

Where are the jumper settings specified? what jumper setting corresponds to what input votlage?

  • Hi,

The jumper settings are defined by the number of cells in series, if you look at the EVM schematic linked below, the voltage divider is J3 and can only be utilized after placing the multicell jumpers on J2.

  • Thanks Evan.

So does the schematic imply the VEN gpio is ACTIVE LOW?

How is a board (custom hardware with the gauge on it) supposed to be calibrated? Can we perform the voltage calibration with current flowing? Current hardware does not support this.

Can we callibrate 'the battery pack' with the given evm--Would that calibration be valid for our custom board?

  • Hi,

    1) Looking at schematic it appears to be active low.

    2) Ideally you are supposed to calibrate the voltage with no current, I am not sure how this will affect the measurements.

    3) Ideally you should calibrate the gauge you are using.
