TPS51206: Specification of VDD and VLDOIN

Part Number: TPS51206

Tool/software:

Hello team,

TPS51206: has "VLDOIN", "VDDQSNS", and "VDD" as power supplies. Could you please answer the following questions about them?

1. Will the current consumption of "VDD" ever exceed 100mA?

2. I understand that "VDD" is the power supply for the internal circuitry, and "VLDOIN" is the power supply for the internal LDO, but is there a correlation between the output current values of the output VTT and VTTREF and the current consumption of "VDD"?

Thankyou for your help.

Taito Takemura

  • Hi Taito,

    1) VDD input current should not exceed 100mA during operation. VDD is a relatively high impedance pathway. After testing on an EVM I was only seeing around 5mA when the load on VTT was 2A. With no load I was seeing around 700uA

    2) There is some correlation with the input current to VDD increasing as the load on VTT increases. I was seeing roughly 200uA increase on VDD for every 100mA of load current on VTT. This may vary between different devices.
