Hi Team,

We are using UCC27211 as Full bridge Inverter. Attached image below [Image 1]. At some cases even though HI is high, HO Is going low which is not expected. Kindly check below attached images and provide your suggestions/feedback if I am missing to do something.

Thanks in Advance.

  • Hey,

So there seems to be some noise in some of these measurements. Can you please share waveform captures of a single HI pulse as well as HB and VDD? One thing that can help with what you are seeing is to increase the gate resistance. This could be as much as 10-30ohms.

Another option is to try the more noise immune UCC27211A. That was the major improvement in the "A" version of the UCC27211. It appears that you are using the D package version of UCC27211 which we do not have for an industrial version on UCC27211A. We do have the DDA package in the automotive version (UCC27211A-Q1). Another option for D package is the more noise immune UCC27201A.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hi William,

Thanks for the response. after changing Gate resistance, we are seeing positive results. We are conducting testing and I shall update if any issues.

Regarding UCC27211A, Could you please share more details about UCC27211A vs UCC27211 so that I can recommend this part to my team to include in production ? Having this comparison details will be helpful for me communicate to my team to plan for the next revision.

  • Hey,

That is good to hear that they are seeing a potential solution.

Here is an FAQ discussing the differences between the two versions:

    [FAQ] UCC27211A: What's the difference of UCC27211A and UCC27211

Let me know of any updates or questions that you have.

    Thank you,

  • Hi William,
