TPS61023: 3.3V supply from 1.5V battery

Part Number: TPS61023
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61299, TPS61021A

Tool/software:

Hello

I am trying to confirm the TPS61023 will actually start up when used with a 1.5V battery.

My project only has room for 11mm coin cell battery, which are 1.5V or 1.4V fully charged.

I chose this regulator because this is what was recommended when I put in my operating parameters into the power supply design tool.

However, when I read the documentation, it seems to indicate that a minimum of 1.8V is required for this power supply to start?

I want to be able to generate 3.3V at approximately 25mA from the 1.5V battery and have it operate down to approximately 0.9V.

It needs to start from the battery input voltage when supply is applied, start up, allow microprocessor to run.

Then processor will turn supply off when it is done  (typically runs for less than a minute).

Can this power supply do this or do I need a different part?

Thanks in advance.
