Hello Ti Support Team,

Kindy explain me difference between BQ24195 vs BQ24192.

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out via E2E. Please see my comments below.

Both BQ24192 and BQ24195 are from the same product family so the performance, protections, and majority of features are the same. Differences are as follows.

    • Pinout is different. Pins 2 and 3 are D+/D- on BQ24195 for USB type detection whereas pins 2 and 3 are PSEL and /PG on BQ24192. Details on these pin functions can be found in the Pin Functions table on page 4 of their respective datasheets.

    • Difference in boost mode operation. The BQ24195 is designed for power bank applications. BQ24195 is rated for up to 2.1A max boost mode current and the intended output is PMID pin. On the other hand BQ24192 is rated for 1.3A max boost mode current and the output is VBUS.
      • If you intent to use PMID output boost mode on BQ24195 additional components are needed to seamlessly transition from boost mode to charge mode. Additional components are shown in the typical application diagram on page 34 of the datasheet.

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
