Hi team,

My customer choose the TL2843BDR in their solar system. Could you help to review the SCH? if any suggestions, pls let me now.

They use the device for driving the SIC MOS in fly-back DC/DC, They want to know what the maximum driving voltage is in the lowest input voltage? and can it drive the SIC mosfet?

  • Hi,

The driving voltage from the OUTPUT pin is specified in the data sheet page 7, also refer to page 3 the block diagram.

You need to find what Vgs of the SiC required to decide. Please provide the SiC FET data sheet if you want us to help.

  • Hi Hong,

thanks for your reply, about the driver voltage, I will double check with customer,

and can you help to review the SCH and give some comments?

BTW, our competitor is UC2843BD1013TR(ST), do we have other P2P optional choice? TL2843 is a old device P2P with customer.

  • Hi,

The schematics review usually take about a week. I will reply to you by then.

  • Hi,

    1) C129, it looks like it is to provide some slope compensation. One concern is when adjust its slope compensation effect by increasing its value, then how its charged voltage to be discharged and back to the same level of each cycle at beginning.

    2) Your circuit does not show the feedback so not able to review that portion.
