BQ76905: REGOUT Enabled at 3.3V by default?

Dear all,

Could you please confirm that REGOUT Config default setting is 0x08 with REGOUT enable at 1.8V?

It is crucial information since this regulator will power the BQ76905 control microcontroller and we need to be enable at power-start.

    Yes, it is enabled by default to 3.3-V. For reference, you can find this in Section 4 of the datasheet:

    Section 4 of BQ76905 datasheet is clear, but section 12.2.1.2 Settings:Configuration:REGOUT Config in the Technical Reference Manual is a very confusing and incongruous.

    Hello Jose,

    I agree, it is somewhat confusing! However, yes, I can still confirm that it is 3.3-V output by default. I believe the default setting may be written to the internal OTP's, so it may not show up in REGOUT Config register.

    I will point the confusion out to our system engineer so we can make it more clear in any next revisions of the TRM.
