Hello,

Our customer has asked about Narrow VDC (NVDC) min. max nuber in following condtion

1) SYS-SYS_MIN @BAT < SYS_MIN, charge enable, charge disable (-40V < Tj <125C)

2) SYS-BAT @ BAT > SYS_MIN, charge enable, charge disable (-40V < Tj < 125C)

I know that addtinal new specification is difficult but it must be appreciated if you can provide reference data.

Hello,

Please see Section 8.3.5.1 of the datasheet:

"When the battery is below the minimum system voltage setting, the BATFET operates in linear mode (LDO mode), and the system is typically 180 mV above the minimum system voltage setting. As the battery voltage rises above the minimum system voltage, the BATFET is fully on and the voltage difference between the system and battery is the VDS of the BATFET. When battery charging is disabled and above the minimum system voltage setting or charging is terminated, the system is always regulated at typically 50 mV above the battery voltage. The status register VSYS_STAT bit goes to 1 when the system is in minimum system voltage regulation."

Hi,

As we checked the datasheet section 8.3.5.1, 180mV, 50mV above the battery voltage is typical. The customer needs the minimum and maximum value in each condition.

Hello,

I understood. I will feeback to him that we cannot specify the number, yet could you please let me know the reasy why we cannot specify the min, max number. Though I checked BQ25628 and BQ25638 of the successor, I could not see Narrow VDC specification.
