LM4132: LM4132 Stabilization time

Part Number: LM4132

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using LM4132 for 2.5V reference to give it to reference pin of AD8278 (From Analog devices). I am seeing longer stabilization time on 2.5V in order of 20 ms even though turn on time is less than a ms. Will the 2.5V stabilization time is affected by load?

  • Hello,

The load affects turn on time which is defined as "the time taken for the output voltage to rise to 90% of the preset value" and would also affect behavior on the output. The datasheet does not give a specific "stabilization time", but does give a description of capacitors that would allow for stable operation of LM4132. An output capacitor for LM4132 is not required, but you can choose one that fits best for your application. When selecting capacitors please adhere to the guidelines in section 8.2.1.2.2 of the LM4132 datasheet:

    Thanks,

    Jackson
