BQ24640: Can 8mA current sink on SRN be used to indicate CC-Mode?

Tool/software:

My customer needs an indication for CC-Mode to know that the supercap final voltage is not yet met.

The Block-Diagram shows this current sink on page 11, and the customer wants to know if this pin always draws this 8mA current during CC-Mode?

Another option would be to check if Vfb=2.1V but the customer wants to check the current sink option as well...
