TPS7A4001-EP: How to add tolerance & temperature data into pSpice model?

Part Number: TPS7A4001-EP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A4001

Tool/software:

Customer wanted us to do worst case analysis (WCA) using component tolerance and temperature drift data running Monte Carlo pSpice simulation.  After some experiments, it was determined that TI model TPS7A4001.LIB model does not contain temperature data.  Questions:

1.  Are you able to confirm model does not contain tolerance (Vref) and temperature drift data?

TPS7A4001-EP data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

2.  If above is true, are we able to add tolerance and temperature data into the model file so that we can run Monte Carlo in Cadence pSpice?

3.  If adding tolerance and temperature data into is possible, is there an application note or tutorial video we can watch?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

  • Hi Leo,

The PSPICE models do not have process information or temperature drift data. It may be possible in the future, to add temperature data, but process information requires IP so I don't believe we can do that. Right now the best way we can support this is through transistor-level simulations on our end. If you can provide us the details of the information your customer would like to see we can see about simulating it for them.

    Regards,
