BQ25606: When charging at 5V it will always charge at around 500mA.

Part Number: BQ25606

Tool/software:

hello
I am currently testing the circuit using the BQ25606.
Basic charging and discharging operations work well.
The oscilloscope waveform looks good too.

1. USB D+/D- is not connected.
2. ILIM is set to 240Ω.
3. ICHAG is set to 220Ω.

The problem is that when 5V is input to the power supply, the charging current is limited to about 500mA.

I adjusted the power supply and got the following results:

0.50A@5V
1.43A@6V
2.13A@7V
1.98A@8V
1.52A@9V
1.31A@10V
1.14A@11V
1.02A@12V

To further verify the circuit, we changed the ILIM to 5000Ω and found that it was limited to 0.1A across all voltage ranges.

I believe that the measured current value in some sections may differ from the set value.

If I shorted D+,D- of the BQ25606, the result will be as shown in the current table above.

No matter what method you use, the charging current will not increase at 5V.
