UCC27624: Latch-up current for VDD

Part Number: UCC27624

Tool/software:

Hi team,
This is FAE Jayden, My customer is using UCC27624QDGNRQ1. They need to evaluate the latch-up current of the device's VDD pin to guide their design. If you cannot provide this data, can you provide an approximate latch-up current in the reliability test? Or recommend a pull-down resistor value for customers?
Many thanks
Jayden

  • Hi Jayden,

We do not spec the latch-up current for this device, but I can look to see if we complete this test in qual. However, as long as you stay within the device's abs max specs, no latch-up should occur.

    Thanks,
    Rubas

  • Hi Jayden,

For testing the supply and ground pins, we subject them to abs max voltage ratings to ensure there is no failure. We do not do a latch-up current injection to the supply/ground pins.

The only latch-up testing we do is powering the device to a known state of recommended max voltage rating. Then, we inject current (both source and sink) up to +/- 100mA (which is the latch-up rating for the input/output pins) into the input and output pins. This ensures that each of the input and output pins does not latch-up to any other pin for the rated injection current.

Please let me know if this is what the customer needs.

    Thanks,
    Rubas
