BQ25750EVM: BQ25750EVM

Part Number: BQ25750EVM

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the safety warnings mentioned for the BQ25750EVM. Specifically, I would like to understand the following points:

  1. The warnings about the risk of death due to electrical shock:
    • Is this warning due to the possibility of generating more than 50V AC on the evaluation module?
  2. Can you confirm if the VAC pins on the BQ25750EVM can accept both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC)?

Best Regards

Enrico

  • Hello Enrico,

    1. The max recommended input voltage is 55V. Up to 75V can be generated if the input voltage is high and a external gate drive is used.

    2. The EVM can only accept direct current. VAC is a legacy term. The "AC" comes from AC adapter.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ethan Galloway
