BQ25756: BQ25756 DOES NOT TERMINATE THE CHARGE WHEN REACHED ITERM

Hello,

I have designed an 8S Battery charger with BQ25756. My design works well but when I configure the termination current to 1000 mA, charger does not terminate the charge and goes on. I watch the status with EV2400 and BQSTUDIO. CHARGE_STAT status isTaper Charge(CV Mode). But if I configure ther termination current to 1200 mA, charger termiantes the charge and I see the CHARGE_STAT as "Charge Termination Done".

Why can not I configure termination current to 1000 mA?

Hello Alihan,

Thanks for working with this. I've got a few questions about this.

Are you using a battery or a CC load to test termination?

Just to be sure, EN_PFM=0 for the test? We recommend setting EN_PFM=0 when terminating below 2A.

Thank you Ethan,

We tested with a battery which SoC is near CV profile. As you said, we set EN_PFM=0 and charge was terminated.
