UCD3138: Can Fusion Digital Power Studio support BUCK topology for UCD3138?

Yes, you can absolutely use the Buck topology in UCD3138 and the Fusion Digital Power Studio GUI. While we do not have a pure Buck converter UCD reference design, we do have multiple Inverting Buck/Boost and Synchronous Buck converter UCD reference designs.

Hello Jimmy,

The buck topology does not show up on the Fusion Studio GUI by default. Go to the bi-directional topology firmware (https://www.ti.com/tool/UCD3138FW-BIDI) and download the firmware. Open the firmware in Code Composer Studio and build for your desired device (Ex. UCD3138, UCD3138064, etc.). Then, once the .x0 file is generated, flash the .x0 file onto your UCD device using the UCD3xxx Device GUI. After the firmware is successfully flashed onto your UCD device, you can open Fusion Studio Online and the bi-directional topology GUI should open up.
