UCC25800-Q1: Power management - INTERNAL forum

Part Number: UCC25800-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi~ team:

When our customer was testing the DEMO, it was found that when VIN_12_MUX is different, the +15V_HOT_HS_I is not a fixed value, and at low voltage (9V), the output (VDD_HS) is less than the expected value of 15V.

What is the reason for this phenomenon?

  • Hi,

This IC is operated in open-loop so its output voltage is proportional to its input voltage. There is no closed-loop regulation. So to keep output in regulation, its input voltage needs to keep constant.
