Hi Ti support,

I buy a board BOOSTXL-TPS65086100 and a board MSP-EXP430F5529LP to program TPS65086100 chip.

I followed SWCU190 document.

But I stuck in this step 3.5, I can not find the link to down load: MSP430_USB_Firmware_Upgrade_Example-1.3.1.1-Setup.exe

Please help me find the link.

Hi Robert,

I think this might be the link that you need: https://www.ti.com/tool/MSP430USBDEVPACK

From this page I think you need to click on the MSP430USBDEVPACK download options and choose the Firmware upgrade example.

I will let our apps team know that this link is broken so that we can get this fixed in the SWCU190 document.

I'm using win 10, but when I install Firmware update example file from the link you suggested. It's display this error

It looks like this may require java to be installed on your PC first. Can you try installing Java from here and then try the firmware install again afterwards? https://www.java.com/en/download/

Hi Matt,

I encounter problem in the section 4.1 step 3

I follow this link and done install Visual Studio 2022, Install SDK, in stall WDK.

When I run MSP430_USB_Firmware_Upgrade_Example-1.3.1.2-Setup.exe , I got a warning like this:

And I don't see any tab or UI to choose "Select firmware" like instruction on step 3.

So how can I update firware for my board.

Hi Robert,

I am not sure what would cause this issue. It might be good to create a new thread using MSP430F5529 as the product to get help with this warning since the MSP430 team will have the expertise with this installer.
