Dear Experts,

One of the channels of the UCC27624-Q1 will be unused for our project.

For the input I understand it can be tied to ground but the output can I leave it floating like the picture below?

Hi Andras,

There's no difference in leaving it floating or tying it to ground if that output is unused. Is there a reason why you are using a dual-channel driver in this case? If you only need one channel, we recommend the UCC27614, and you can use gate resistances if the peak current is too high.

Hi Rubas,

Since I use 3 of UCC27624-Q1 on the same board but only 5 outputs one will be left unconnected

because I do not want to introduce a new IC for economical reason.

So for the unsed input I put the input to ground and leave the output floating, right?
