LM73100EVM: Regarding Vin range

Part Number: LM73100EVM

Tool/software:

Hi

Can the IC LM73100 work for a Vin min of 2.5V. We need a overvoltage protection device for our Vin which ranges from 2.5V to 17V.

Can this device be used or is there any other recommended device from TI? Please let us know

  • Hi Prema,

    I apologies for delayed response.

The device take power from IN pin.

If the Vin drops below this threshold, the device will shut down (FET will be open). So, it looks like the threshold is very near your desired limit.

This threshold is true for most of our eFuse devices as they take power directly from supply and don't have separate device power pin.

Can you share your operating conditions (current and any specific feature required). What is your end application? Why is the operating voltage range so wide?

    Best Regards,
    Arush
