TPS922052: Limiting current on EVM

Part Number: TPS922052
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS922055, TPS922053, TPS922053DYYREVM

Tool/software:

LED team,

We have a customer wanting to evaluate the TPS922052, so they will test with TPS922053DYYEVM.  The LEDs used by the customer are rated for 700 mA to 1500 mA.

The EVM datasheet says the default current is set to 4A.  I think this is referencing TPS922055, and it is 2A for TPS922053.  This will need to be reduced to avoid damaging the LEDs for the customer's testing.

What does the customer need to change on the EVM to ensure the current doesn't go above say 1A with the TPS922053DYYEVM?

I think they need to change the current sense resistor from 0.05 Ohm to 0.2 Ohm, but want to be sure that is the right solution.  (Section 8.3.2 in datasheet)

Thanks,
Darren
