TPS7A39: Do you have an LDO with less noise?

Part Number: TPS7A39
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A47, TPS7A94, TPS7A30, LMP7731, TLV2460

Tool/software:

Hi, I'm designing a very low noise amplifier circuit.

Do you have something better than TPS7A39?
I need to regulate negative and positive voltage, could be separated IC for each.

Thank you.

  • Hey Fabio,

Thanks a lot for reaching out. We certainly have LDO that supports low noise performance.

If you can share the Input and output requirements of the system, and rails needed for op-amp, it would help in narrowing down the LDO solutions. Depending on the input voltage (VIN) requirements to the LDO, I would recommend following LDOs:

For positive rail, if VIN goes higher than 6V, than TPS7A47 would be a great choice. It is a 40V, 1Amp, 4uVrms LDO. If VIN rail is staying lower than 6V, I would recommend TPS7A94. It is industry's lower noise LDO at 0.4uVrms with load current support up-to 1Amp.

For the -ve rail, I would recommend TPS7A30, which is -35V, 200mA LDO with 15uVrms noise.

Please review and let me know in case further details are needed.

    Regards,

    Rohit Phogat

  • Hi Rohit,

Sorry I forgot to provide more details.

The input will be between 3.08-4.2V and output 2.5V.

I will feed one LMP7731 and one TLV2460.

With this spec your best recommendation would still be TPS7A94 and TPS7A30?

  • Hey Fabio,

For the +ve rail, I would recommend TPS7A94 (Industry's lowest noise LDOs) and TPS7A30 for the -ve rail.

    Regards,
    Rohit
