BQ25703A: Is the load limit of REGN pin 65mA net?

In the typical application schematic, REGN pin is connected to VCCA pin via a 10Ohm resistor to supply the bias voltage.

On page 12 of the datasheet under REGN Regulator section, it states that the typical current is 65mA (VBUS = 10 V, force VREGN = 4 V ).

There are two questions:

(1) Is 65mA the net current for a second loading? Do I need to take account of VCCA pin loading? I wish to drive a low power MCU with REGN but I need to know its net loading capacity first.

(2) I will use an LDO to step down REGN to 3.0V but the absolute max input voltage of my LDO is 6V. I wish to tune REGN down to something like 5.5V on POR (before my MCU runs so before I2C communication). Is it possible it do that?

    1. We don't suggest loading REGN. The 65mA is tested with an external load, while it powers the internal logic at the same time. The internal consumption may increase when loaded, thus reduces the power capability to external circuitry. 

    2. The REGN is a fixed LDO inside the part, it is not adjustable.
