TPS62933O: TPS62933ODRLR SOT583 Heating Issue

We have implemented the "TPS62933ODRLR SOT583" IC in our product.

Our specifications are a 24V DC input and a 5V 3A DC output. However, upon testing our circuit, we observed that the IC is heating up to more than 115°C. Please see the attached images for reference.

According to the datasheet, the maximum temperature (Figure 10-8. Case Temperature, VIN = 24V, IOUT = 3A) is 84°C.

We have also attached images of our PCB design layout, the BOM used, and the schematic.

Please guide us in resolving this heating issue.

    The datasheet image is based on the EVM with 500kHz fsw,  your fsw is 1200kHz. higher switching loss can result the Higher Tj.

    You can select fsw as 500kHz by floating RT. You might need to change the inductor accordingly, you can refer to the Table 10-2 Recommended LC combination in the datasheet.
