LM5146-Q1: Transient changes in current

Part Number: LM5146-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5143A-Q1

Tool/software:

Can LM5146-Q1 output a current of 40A or higher? If there is a method, how is it implemented?
How to adjust the design when there is a significant transient change in current, such as from 100mA to 10A or higher

  • Hello,

It really depends on the power stage components, Vin, Vout, Fsw, etc. Please use the quickstart calculator (see link in product folder) to assist with the design. Alternatively, consider a two-phase design with the LM5143A-Q1.
