Hello,

I would like to get answers to a few questions:

1. What is the maximum time that passes from the moment i assign voltage to the battery until the battery outputs the voltage?

2. The default time for FET off time is 10 seconds and the default time for Delay is 20 seconds. Is there a way to change these values? and what is the minimum time for these values?

3. How long does it take to get to complete shutdown since the moment ShutDown Mode command 0x0010 is executed?

Regards,

Arkadi

  • Hi Arkadi,

What is the maximum time that passes from the moment i assign voltage to the battery until the battery outputs the voltage?

The gauge will be able to process the voltage immediately for protection purposes, however if you are reading the voltage from the Voltage() register, I believe this value is produced by a one second average (if in normal mode), so it should update around once a second.

    2. The default time for FET off time is 10 seconds and the default time for Delay is 20 seconds. Is there a way to change these values? and what is the minimum time for these values?

I believe these values can be changed in the data flash. Their minimum and maximum values can be found there:

    3. How long does it take to get to complete shutdown since the moment ShutDown Mode command 0x0010 is executed?

I believe this is based on the delay, however if the command is sent twice it should immediately enter shutdown.
