TPS650320-Q1: Footprint inquiry and Alternate part suggestion

Part Number: TPS650320-Q1

Tool/software:

  1. There are two footprints in the datasheet for TPS65032001RGERQ1. One is RGE0024U and the other is RGE0024K. The RGE0024K part has A1-A4 pins on the edges which are not mentioned in the recommended land pattern. Please confirm which footprint we should use and also confirm the A1-A4 pins.
  2. We are searching for a Four-Output Mini PMIC for automotive Camera Applications with the following requirements:
    Input voltage range: up to 36V
    We need a part that supports the following voltage rails:
       - 3V3 / 140mA
       - 2V8 / 40mA
       - 1V8 / 80mA
       - 1V2 / 250mA
    It should be pre-programmable from TI for the output rails. Please suggest a suitable PMIC for these specifications.
  • Hi Venkatachalam,

      TPS650320-Q1 has its VIN up to 18V; so, it's not good for you application which needs VIN up to 36V.

      We have a new camera PMIC TPS65036xxxx which is OTP pre-programmable and has VIN up to 35V. 

      If you can use the TPS65036xxxx, please let's know; we may kick off a new OTP for you if your business size approved.

      A1-A4 corner anchor pins are internally connected to the Power Pad. Follow RGE0024K stencil design located at the end of the data sheet. 

      We have both RGE0024U and RGE0024K package devices available, and we ask customer to use same STENCIL DESIGN and same BOARD LAYOUT for both packages.
