UCC2805: Drive considerations using an external clock

Part Number: UCC2805

Tool/software:

Hi, I am using UCC2805QDRQ1 in a flyback design where the RC input pin is driven by an external oscillator and is not using the on-board reference. If a stable logic high is applied to RC, will the output of UCC2805 remain low in all cases where the voltage does not exceed ratings? Additionally, if the RC pin is driven using an external clock, how will the device be affected if the RC input is a clean square wave versus a square wave that has been filtered using a differentiator (HPF)? Thanks for your time.

  • Hi,

Fig 9-6 in the datasheet shows the below Oscillator Circuit. You can make analysis based on this circuit as it looks what you provided not enough to make analysis so it would be better that you make the analysis by yourself so all of details can be obtained when needed.
