Hi Team,

My customer is using UCC2897A control the flyback for switch application, and I would like to ask some questions about UCC2897A dead time.

May I know the UCC2897 RTDEL(delay time) have maximum rating? I know it will depends on switching frequency and MOS parameter, just for double check.

And I would like to know if have thumb rule for dead time? like 1% of switch period? Thanks.

    Hi,

    RDEL range is on Fig 15. Its proper value depends on a design and no formular. A rule of thumb is to get its value adequately adjusted to get switching loss small while acceptable overshoot of Vds particularly on the secondary side SR MOSFETs.
