Hi ,

I have doubt on TPS4810-Q1 can able to measure bidirectional current ? because it will be used in BMS So during CHARGING and DISCHARGING current flow will change.

If so than if short circuit protection configured at 30A means during CHARGING and DISCHARGING mode the Max allowable current will be 30A ?

    Kamesh,

    Correct- this device is a high-side driver and meant to only handle forward current sensing. If you set the short circuit protection to 30A, it means that if 30A is detected via the voltage drop on the SNS shunt resistor, the device will assume that there is a short circuit and turn off.
