TPS546D24: Change TPS546D24 EEPROM Regs to TI Factory Default Value

Hello Team,

I'm still applying for a full D/S of the TPS546D24. Currently my customer wants to recover the device's EEPROM register to TI factory default value in their Lab, is there a guidance to do that? Thanks!

    Hi Qiang,

    There is no way to recover the TI factory default other than to re-write it to the device. The factory default is provided in the datasheet.

    Thanks for your answer.

    And we want to ask one more question. In our factory, we see that the output is 0V after loading the firmware to the D24.

    We connect the GUI and set "always converting", the output is good; Then we set to "control pin only", we again see output 0V.

    And I want to add some more information for this issue:

    1. About 5% board shows this issue
    2. In the system, VIN comes early than the EN signal

    And customer wants to export the .CSV file with read commands like the picture as below, for now we can only export the .csv file with write commands.

    Hi Qiang,

    When the device is set to "control pin only", please make sure the EN/UVLO pin voltage is greater than 1.1V, the EN/UVLO rising threshold. You can look at the EN/UVLO pin under the oscilloscope to confirm this. If below 1.1V, this explains why the converter is not switching. 

    If that is not the problem, then make sure the device is programmed correctly. Can you read the data from ON_OFF_CONFIG register to make sure it's programmed to "control pin only"? It might be configured to something else. 

    Another thing to consider is if customer is giving enough time to store the configuration into NVM. Are they allowing a minimum 100ms for the device to complete a burn of NVM user store? Loss of AVIN or VDD5 power during this 100ms can compromise the integrity of the NVM. Failure to complete the NVM burn can result in a corruption of NVM and a POR fault of subsequent power on resets.
