LM25180: WEBENCH-POWER-DESIGNER: SIMULATE failed

Part Number: LM25180
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5180, LM5185, LM25185

Tool/software:

Hi,

I want to use WEBENCH to simulate LM25180 design.

Unfortunately I can't change the output voltage (default 5V);

When I set current to 0 I get

When I do it from main page like this,

(BTW I can't select isolated output.)

I get this error

  • Hi Thomas,

Thank you for designing with our products.  First, please note that Webench does not enable the simulation for this part.  So, please use our design calculator to help you to create a design, and if you wish, you can simulate the circuit in TINA or Pspice.  You may find the TINA and Pspice model under the LM5180 product folder.

When using the design calculator, please note that there is a pull-down menu in which you can choose a proper part of the family.  If none is able to support your max power, then please take a look at the LM25185 or LM5185.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Youhao

  • ok thanks, maybe make the reference not available in webench ?

  • Thank you Thomas.  It still helps to some extent, but I will pass your valuable comments to our team.

    Good luck in your project!

    Regards,

    Youhao
