BQ25570: Using a separate regulator for system power

Hi,

I'm designing a system with a periodic peak current requirement is about 1.1A. Can I design it so that that system power is provided by another regulator and the BQ25570 is responsible only for charging the battery? In this case should I leave VOUT and LBUCK unconnected and ground both EN and VOUT_EN?
