TPS62933: Question about TPS62933 enable pin.

Part Number: TPS62933

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am going to use TPS62933 for my system, and I have a qustion about EN pin.

In the datasheet, I can make EN Pin float to turn on device without external control.

I wonder how much time it will take to this TPS62933 if I make EN pin float?

I want to use 24V for the Vin, and target output is 5V.

When 24V reaches to VIN Pin, then how long will it take 5V output? some ms? us?

(assume there is no load)

Thanks.

  • Hi Sukmin,

My colleague Bella will reply you later.

    Thanks

  • Hi Sukmin

After the device is enabled, the output rises smoothly from 0 V to its regulated voltage. As you can see in Figure 10-11 in the TPS62933 datasheet. The soft start time(Tss) is programmable(or fixed as 2ms).

When EN floating, you can consider when Vin> VIN_UVLO , the EN becomes high immediately. The IC enables and after Tss, the Vo rise up to the regulated value.

    Thanks and best regards.
