TPS65988: TPS65988EVM NFET:CSD15380F3 is very small. Could SOT NX3008NBKW be used instead

Hi,

I have been using https://www.ti.com/jp/lit/ug/slvub62b/slvub62b.pdf as a reference for my TPS65988DHRSHR design.

We are using the External Powerpath.

Q3 is FemtoFet CSD15380F3, Q2 is a SOT323 NX3008NBKW.

Could Q3 be safely replaced by NX3008NBKW?

Would the extra capacitance slow the response of the circuit down too much?

Package is not an issue please match the FET SOA requirements to customer needs and please also check the gate voltage design. This circuit is an example power path implementation with PFET.

Thanks for this. 3V3 through a 1k resistor is 3.3mA This is within the NX3008NBKW NFET SOA. I will switch to this part.
