BQ76200: BQ76200

Part Number: BQ76200

Tool/software:

In this High side N-Channel FET Driver IC, I am experiencing one issue. The Pin 16 (CHG) is showing to be internally shorted to Pin 2 (BAT).
Want to understand how can this happen, under what conditions?

  • Hello Arpit,

Is the device functional? Usually if the CHG FET driver is OFF, it will connect internally to the BAT pin to turn-off the N-Channel FET.

  • Actually when we are powering up the Driver, the Vgs on the Charge FETs is observed to be pulsating(Intermittent) because of which the FETs couldn't turn ON. When we removed the IC and checked the resistance between the BAT Pin and CHG Pin it is showing to be somewhere around 100Ohms. This is problematic. Please help me with this.

  • Hello Arpit,

Could you share the schematic? Could it be that the charge-pump is being overloaded? If the charge-pump is being overloaded, the device will turn-off the connection to the driver.

A waveform of the behavior may be useful too.
