Hello,my name is Kalin.
Hello Kalin,
Welcome to E2E!
For the low/high logic voltage levels, you can refer to the following from the recommended operation conditions of the datasheet:
I am looking at our characterization data for this device and we do not have the current for these devices specified. Looking at several similar devices, it is looking like the input current for the high level is maximum around 100nA. Could you help us understand the reasoning for this information. ? Generally the leakage current on the logic pins is very small compared to the overall power budget that we don't get questions about it.
For the low level current- I believe the best way here would be to refer to the pull-down resistances above. These pins have internal pull-downs that would sink any current when below the low logic level.
Best Regards,
Tim
Thank you for the answer.I have one additional question:
What is the current on this pin-IGND(ON) ,under the following condition:
"Control stage current consumption in ON state. All channels active.VCC = 24 V; VEnx = 5 V; IOUT1,2,3,4 = 1 A"
I need this value IGND(ON) to Examination of Operating Ground current
Kalin,
In this condition, are diagnostics enabled by the DIA_EN pin? If so- you can use the Iqd (quiescent current parameter) to understand the current on the ground pin. Are you using this information to determine the appropriate diode to put on the ground pin?
Best Regards,
Tim
Hello, Yes the diagnostic pin "DIAG_EN =5V" is permanently on at 5 volts. No, I don't use such a diode -DGND.the connection is direct to GND.
-but here it says the outputs are 0 volts, Ioutx = 0 A ?
while with me, I have a load of 1 А on each output.
I await your reply !
Thank you !
Kalin,
The actual load current is not going to affect the quiescent current. Essentially when diagnostics are enabled, all components (such as current mirror, open load detection, etc.) in the device are drawing all the current that would contribute to the quiescent current.
Best Regards,
Tim
Hello,Now I already understood you. Because other manufacturers give these parameters, described in a different way and that's why I was slightly confused.
But it doesn't matter, as I said it became clear to me after your explanation !!!!!
Thank you very much again !!!
No problem. Do not hesitate to reach out if there are any additional questions.
